Will I be charged any fees for using the app?
No, Scholarly is completely free to use for both students and tutors!
At Scholarly, we believe knowledge should be shared amongst everyone. It will not cost you anything to be a tutor!
How much does it cost to be a tutor?
Upon completion of a session between student and tutor, a student is then allowed to leave a review for their tutor.
How do I leave a review for a tutor?
At this moment we do not offer this feature, because we understand that sometimes students do not feel their best and we want to encourage a stress-free environment for learning.
Can tutors leave reviews for students?
We get it, your car broke down. Your pet started throwing up its fifth treat of the day or you just feel under the weather. At Scholarly, we offer flexibility in your schedule and while we do not support modifying sessions for now, we allow users to request a cancellation for their bookings, and book again.
Can do I modify a tuition session?
I have requested to cancel my session. Is my tuition session still confirmed?
Yes, your session is still confirmed until the other party has accepted your cancellation request. After the session, if you are a tutor, your student can still leave a review for you.
How do I pay for a tuition session?
Whether it’s cash, PayLah!, PayNow, or bartering
(we do not recommend this), you choose the way you want to pay your tutor. For now, payments happens outside the app.
We sure hope you won’t want to! If you have to, you can find the ‘delete account’ option in your profile under the hamburger menu at the top right corner. All of your account-related data will be deleted permanently, however if you are a tutor, your profile may still appear in the search results for up to a few hours after deletion.
